With 10 models released each year, the brand floods the already saturated smartphone market to find its place. With very technical models with a sleek design Xiaomi attracts our attention but it is above all in terms of price that we find our account. The brand offers some of the cheapest smartphones on the market, without skimping on quality.
Smartphones with characteristics similar to iPhones but 3 to 5 times cheaper, do you believe it? Xiaomi did it! Often denigrated in the past, the brand has quickly moved up a gear with its Mi range, with the Mi 9, Mi 10, Mi 11 models and their variations so that there is something for all tastes and all prices.
To my mind, the very big downside for the end consumer is to understand Xiaomi models because they put about a hundred a year on the market ! This is the manufacturer’s strategy to flood the market with their product, however when you are trying to buy one it might take hours just to understand the differences between models of the same family, and then you have to compare the families together…

So, I have to admit I was completely lost looking at the mi 11 families. 6 different mobiles only for this family, why? This seems like too many even if the brand intends to answer all the requirements of the customers.
First of all let’s talk about dimensions, as you will see from the table below there is not a lot of difference between all the mobiles. Height-wise, the smallest is 160,5mm while the tallest is 164,3mm, very close, and the width difference is also negligible. It is pretty confusing to make different mobiles with a 4mm difference if you ask me.
Let’s focus on the main differences: you will notice that Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra are slightly heavier (208g and 234g while the Mi 11 is 196g), and this is for a reason: they have the best batteries of the category with 5000 mAh, which is a lot for a phone.
Even the Xiaomi mi 11 has 4600 mAh while phones like the iPhone 12 have only 2815 mAh, this is a huge difference. Point for Xiaomi !
Another thing to notice is the cameras. While the front cameras are all 20mp except for the Mi 11 Lite which has 16mp, the rear cameras are pretty different.
Cameras on the Mi 11X, Mi 11 Pro, and Mi 11 Ultra have 48 and 60 megapixels while the Mi 11 and the Mi 11 X Pro have 108 megapixels, 108 !!
Let’s talk performance now. If you are thinking to pick a phone on a budget you will probably look for the mi 11 Lite which is significantly cheaper. However, you will see that it is the only one with a 4GB version while other models have 6GB, 8Gb or even 12GB options. You might want to consider an 8GB version if you want to avoid crashes and keep your phone as long as possible.
