New features, new design, new family. A lot to dive in here, we will decrypt everything about the iPhone 11 family + the iPhone SE to understand the differences between each model and pick the perfect candidate for you. This is, after all, a lot of money to put in a phone so better be sure before making your choice, will do our best to help you in this matter !
Three new phones have been released and there are a bit different from one another, plus the iPhone SE 2, the affordable version of the iPhone is back with a new design, new features, and, great surprise, the same A13 Apple CPU as the other iPhone 11. Thank you for this Apple, since other manufacturers almost always put a worse version of their CPU in the light version we are used the “forced” to pay more to have more horsepower but not this time. We will only notice a 3GB RAM instead of the usual 4GB.
About the RAM, while we are here: it is pretty surprising to see only 4GB in this iPhone, even in the Pro version while other manufacturers go for 8GB or 12GB, the answer is in the software I will say. Apple devices need less RAM since everything is built to come together. I have actually made the experience using an iPhone vs an 8GB Xiaomi and the iPhone crashes less, but this is another discussion.
So you might ask, why the Pro ? Well, this is the (very) very good question to ask. If you only compare the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 11 Pro we have a smaller lighter iPhone Pro but the same RAM, same CPU, same camera and….. and smaller battery as the iPhone 11 Pro. The only thing is, that you can get 512Gb.
Needless to say, if you do not need 512GB you have almost no reason to go for the Pro instead of the regular iPhone 11.
Camera wise we have a pretty similar match here. All the cameras on all models, rear and front have 12 megapixels, except for the iPhone SE 2 which has a 7mp front camera.
We have to notice that Apple has changed the camera system and has much better images than the previous version. Without testing it on the ground it becomes really hard to understand just by looking at the specifications. When you see other phones 5 times cheaper with 50 megapixels cameras while the iPhone 11 only has 12 megapixels it is very confusing. But Megapixels and not everything and the iPhone 11 still takes great pictures.
Let’s take a look at the screens now, of course, the iPhone SE 2 screen is small since the phone is also smaller, same goes for the iPhone 11 Pro which has a 5.8 inches screen instead of the 6.1 inches screen of the iPhone 11.
The iPhone 11 Pro Max has a slightly wider screen of 6.5 inches but if you consider this gigantic phone for yourself you need to know that the screen is not the only reason this phone is so big compared to the others : the battery is wayyyy bigger. It has almost 4000 mAh while the iPhone 11 of 3110 mAh.
This is also where you see the huge downside of the iPhone SE 2 which has only 1821 mAh. This is an extremely small battery for a phone, no matter the phone. And it is half the battery of the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
